Our Story
MoneyMatch is a multinational fintech firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company was founded in 2015 by Adrian Yap and Naysan Munusamy, with the vision of disrupting the traditional financial industry. We officially launched our award-winning digital transfer platform in 2017 and have since obtained licenses to operate in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Australia and New Zealand.
Throughout our years in the money services industry, we have catered to the underserved Malaysian SME market within the B2B segment. Recently, we’ve expanded our focus to include servicing the financial institutions, where we optimize our solutions to enhance payment flows for their end-users. This shift has significantly contributed to the growth of our overall volume, solidifying our presence in the enterprise space.
MoneyMatch aims to offer a diversified portfolio in line with the ever-changing needs within the finance industry. Our current product offerings include remittance, insurance, and financing. The company also plans to expand its market presence across ASEAN and eventually, to the global stage.

2024
- Obtained Major Payment Institution License to operate in Singapore.
- Granted with License to Carry on Remittance Business in Brunei.
2023
- Surpassed MYR 10 billion in total transactions.
- Successful Equity Crowdfunding campaign surpassed MYR 4 million target.
- Obtained approval from Malaysian Central Bank to become a principal licensee to appoint remittance agents under Money Services Business 2011 Act.
2022
- Granted conditional to operate as Money Service Operator in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department.
- Approved to operate as an insurance agency by Malaysian Central Bank.
- Awarded an Islamic Digital Bank license under the KAF Digital Bank consortium.
- Achieved over MYR 5.1 billion in total transactions.
2021
- Lowered transfer fees to RM3 for specific destinations.
- MYR 18.5 million in Series A funding secured.
- Became a member of the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA).
2020
- Expanded into Brunei as an approved participant of AMBD Fintech Regulatory Sandbox.
2019
- Received approval-in-principle for Class B Money Services Business Licence (Remittance) from Malaysian Central Bank.
2018
- Obtained licenses from AUSTRAC for money transfer dealer and network provider in Australia.
- Completed first international transaction from Malaysia using Ripple blockchain technology.
2017
- MoneyMatch platform and app officially launched to the public.
- Received approval from BNM to operate within the Fintech Regulatory Sandbox Framework.
2016
- Successfully graduated from Cyberview Living Labs Accelerator programme.
2015
- Secured first angel investment round.
- Accepted as the participant of Cyberview Living Labs Accelerator programme.
